Today's Bright Idea

Travelers at Denver International Airport can now gaze lovingly upon a 26-foot-tall statue of Anubis, God of the Dead, on the tarmac as they await their next flight. The statue is part of the city's efforts in promoting a King Tut exhibit at the Denver Art Museum. So now, between sips of Starbucks and bites of Au bon pain sandwiches, the air traveler can ponder the mummification process, the ferrying of souls to the underworld, and just death in general, all overseen by this ancient Egyptian God. Just what I'd want to be thinking about right before boarding a plane. Yep.
