Here's a very detailed timeline with behind-the-scenes information about this apostolate.
Other bloggers with little to no information are leaping to conclusions and crying "disobedience" when they have no clue what's going on. When even canon lawyers can't agree on jurisdiction, how silly that internet Catholics think they've got it all figured out!
What has been done to Michael Voris amounts to calumny. It's especially unfortunate given his clear exposition of the faith. I really don't understand why there is all the backlash from other Catholic bloggers.
ReplyDeleteIt's a schmear. No one complains if National Catholic Reporter insults clergymen or denies the Faith, but when Micheal Voris points this out, oooo, he's the evil one.
ReplyDeleteDoes it not trouble your conscience to go around the blogosphere accusing Ed Peters of conflict of interest (when he makes no secret that he works for the AoD) while you conceal the fact that you work for Voris?
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, Voris is in defiance of his bishop while posing as a "Real Catholic" and encouraging (via shills like you) defiance among his followers and dumb conspiracy theories about shadowy liberal cabals in league against him.
Mark Shea
Mr. Shea,
ReplyDeleteI do not work for Mr. Voris.
Mr. Shea's comment on your blog proves to me what I've believed for some time......Shea's battle against Voris is personal.
ReplyDeleteIf RealCatholicTV is not owned by Voris, but by someone in Indiana, the AoD has no jurisdiction. Shea conveniently ignores that little detail.
To be fair to Mr. Shea, he apologized once he realized he was in error about my employment.
ReplyDeleteThere must be an agenda behind the attacks on Voris and RCTV. Anything short of that makes no sense. Are some in the Catholic media, assuming I can use that term without getting permission first, jealous of the success RealCatholicTV.com is having? Is it a concern over the amount of Catholic dollars (there I go again) that are going to RCTV? I am convinced there is an agenda. The question is, what is it? Why all the vitriol? Could it be the animosity is generated by Voris' call to return to orthodoxy?
